Web tool for CWR Population Management

Welcome!

This web tool for Crop Wild Relative Population Management provides practical guidelines for the management of CWR  populations in situ and the sites in which they are being conserved.

Bear in mind that there is no single way to manage CWR populations as it depends on the context in which the in situ conservation action has been established. However, this user-friendly web tool will guide you through the process of developing and implementing an efficient CWR population management plan, whether you are working in a protected area, on-farm, or other land use context. You will also learn how to manage your CWR populations to address the impacts of climate change and how tomake these vital genetic resources available for use for the benefit of society through complementary conservation in seed/genebanks.

The community of people managing CWR populations across the globe is growing fast. Do not hesitate, get started and be part of our network to conserve CWR in their natural habitats.
